Consigli Construction Co., Inc. is seeking a Business Development Manager to join our team. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and managing client relationships within sectors such as Life Science, Higher Education, K-12, Mixed-Use High Rise, Healthcare, Cultural, Public, and Industrial markets in the Metro area. The ideal candidate has 7-10+ years of experience in business development, is highly motivated, innovative, and possesses a strong network within the construction community.

Key Responsibilities

Leverage an established network with Owners, Design Consultants, and Brokers/Owners Representatives in the MetroDC construction community.

Evaluate target markets and projects to identify growth opportunities.

Manage a broad opportunity pipeline aligned with Consigli’s value proposition.

Support the team in identifying qualified opportunities through strategic relationships.

Understand account strategies for key clients, including market and competitor insights.

Facilitate Go/No Go decisions based on opportunity value and fit.

Manage proposal processes in collaboration with the Project Development Director.

Prepare the interview team for successful client presentations.

Participate in industry organizations and trade shows to expand the network and promote the brand.

Maintain and update CRM database to track opportunity status and actions.

Maintain memberships in professional organizations and attend industry events.

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree preferred.

5+ years of business development experience in the construction or related industry.

Proven ability to build profitable relationships with decision-makers.

Excellent presentation and relationship-building skills.

Ability to travel as needed.
