Logistics Specialist
you will have the opportunity to support the INDOPACOM J43,
Logistics Readiness Division, Munitions Branch
assisting in the areas of risk management, explosive handling procedures, safety rules of the road, and other technically related munitions processes that will help strengthen partner relationships throughout the AOR. This position is located at Camp Smith, Hawaii.
Responsibilities: Provide logistics planning and operations coordination support to the INDOPACOM J3, J4, J8 and J9 Munitions Requirements Process (MRP) and assist with Single Ammunitions Logistics System-Korea (SALS-K) coordination to directly support the bilateral MAGNUM program.
Provide support to the Munitions Branch's Theater Security Cooperation, Building Partner Capacity, and Physical Security Stockpile Management munitions initiatives in addition to providing technical subject matter expertise to component commands and coordinating Munitions Assistance Visits (MAV), JMMAs, and IG Audits, as required.
Manage technical explosives safety policies for the command, provide continuous program monitoring to determine compliance, provide corrective actions if necessary, and identify areas of improvement.
Provide technical and operational oversight of High and Extremely High risk operations involving Ammunition and Explosives and present annual explosive safety risk briefs to Government personnel.
Support COCOM Storage Infrastructure requirements and analysis, tracking of USINDOPACOM critical munitions requirements, and Service POM procurements.
Coordinate and support monthly INDOPACOM Munitions Working Group.
Qualifications:
Required: TS//SCI Clearance
Bachelor's Degree + 5 years of specialized experience relevant to the position
Previous logistics support experience at the tactical, operational, or strategic level
Possess a thorough understanding of the munitions, acquisitions, logistics, and transportation processes for using assigned supply chain systems.
Desired: 10 + years of logistics support experience
Experience supporting a Global Combatant Command
Experience supporting INDOPACOM and/or deployed within the INDOPACOM AOR
