Position Summary: The Quality Lead is responsible for ensuring the compliance of the Quality Control Inspection team. They directly supervise the team, ensuring inspectors have the necessary skills and perform their duties in accordance with TransPak's Quality Organization. The role involves reviewing and verifying internal processes to meet customer requirements, including receiving inspection, in-process inspection, and design accuracy. The Lead also contributes to Quality Assurance functions such as moisture management, calibration, training, and ISO 9001 compliance. They record, analyze, and report data to Operations, Senior Management, and Quality teams. This position is the senior role for Quality Control Inspectors.
Essential Functions: Product Inspection
Ensure all products meet customer and TransPak standards. Document, record, and inspect nonconformances before release.
Inspect products or processes using specialized tools, including weighing, measuring, visual inspection, and gauging.
Conduct controlled testing on products or processes to assess performance in simulated environments.
Improvement Recommendations
Follow up on corrective actions from customer complaints, returns, and non-conformances, analyzing root causes.
Review customer requirements and provide feedback to Design Engineering and Quality management.
Share feedback with manufacturing and support functions regarding nonconformances or inefficiencies.
Participate in ISO audits to ensure compliance with standards.
Training and Supervising
Train and coach team members to perform their roles effectively.
Manage team development, advocate for training, and contribute to training material creation.
Provide performance feedback and manage scheduling, attendance, and time-off for team members.
