PRIVACY COMPLIANCE GOVERNANCE LEAD (Finance)

The Privacy Governance Lead is responsible for managing the Privacy Governance team and ensuring the effective execution of the company's privacy governance program. This includes overseeing the Privacy Governance team as they perform enterprise-wide privacy consulting, maintaining expertise in privacy regulations, conducting privacy impact assessments and privacy by design reviews, identifying privacy risks, and assisting in the development of privacy policies, procedures, and training. The Lead will ensure that privacy governance practices are implemented consistently and in alignment with regulatory requirements and internal standards. This role requires strong leadership, operational rigor, and a deep understanding of privacy compliance frameworks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Manage the Privacy Governance team, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
Oversee the Privacy Governance team's provision of privacy subject matter expertise and consulting across the enterprise.
Lead the execution of privacy impact assessments and privacy by design reviews as required.
Identify privacy risks across business units and coordinate with the Chief Privacy Officer on mitigation strategies.
Assist with the development and implementation of privacy policies, procedures, and training programs.
Develop and implement compliance plans for all business lines and modalities for the company. Collaborate with executive leadership to maintain effective compliance programs. Regulatory fields may include, but are not limited to, privacy, health care, environmental, transportation, and product compliance. The leader will serve as the SME for compliance matters, educating and collaborating with leadership and teams regarding regulatory impacts to ensure compliance and mitigate risk.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
4+ years of leadership, communication, organization, and motivation skills or equivalent experience
8+ years of professional experience in the regulatory area
Strong leadership and analytical skills
Excellent planning, organizing, and documentation skills
Ability to prioritize and work under challenging deadlines
Collaborative mindset and ability to build relationships at all levels
Self-directed and independent work capability
Desired Qualifications
Master's Degree in relevant field
Prior compliance management or consulting experience
Current certification in compliance area
Additional Responsibilities
Lead internal cross-functional teams for compliance strategy
Stay current on regulations and industry guidance
Educate teams and external parties on compliance matters
Advise leadership on best practices and risk assessments
Review compliance metrics and identify trends
Respond to regulatory inquiries
Participate in legislative and industry forums
Lead projects under the direction of the Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer
Travel independently for training and audits
Supervise and coach team members
