Procurement Supply Svcs Manager
for our client in
Piscataway, NJ . Our client is a leading consumer products company with a global presence. If you’re up to the challenge, take this rewarding opportunity! Position Overview:
Manage and optimize procurement for Energy and Capital for Client NA & Hills NA, conducting detailed spend, cost, and market analysis, and structured tendering and negotiating with suppliers. Develop and maintain vendor relationships, including tracking and analyzing vendor spend and performance. Engage with internal stakeholders and external partners to address business priorities, optimize services, and identify cost reduction opportunities. Manage an annual spend of $80 MM. Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals. Apply spend analytics and conduct deep category dives regularly. Update supplier segmentation and risk management annually. Monitor energy costs and identify savings opportunities. Collaborate with finance, plant leaders, and sustainability teams to develop budgets and report on energy procurement performance. Work with energy consultants to enable commodity hedging as per policies. Follow global procurement governance, including approvals, eSourcing, and supplier code compliance. Evaluate and recommend technologies or practices based on business needs. Engage stakeholders to understand needs and align resources. Identify new suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring. Collaborate on efficiency and sustainability initiatives and new capital investments. Present project status, market updates, and escalate issues to senior leadership. Stay updated on industry developments to manage energy procurement strategies effectively. Lead capital investments to meet project timelines and ensure cost savings for new investments. Track energy market trends, including supply, demand, pricing, and regulations, to inform procurement decisions. Required Qualifications:
8+ years in supply chain management. 5+ years in procurement. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. In-depth knowledge of energy markets (Natural Gas & Electricity), including pricing, regulations, and sustainability targets. Understanding of capital procurement procedures. Negotiation skills and professionalism in business settings. Preferred Skills:
Business analysis and data-driven decision-making. Proficiency with business tools and information systems. Teamwork, relationship building, and stakeholder management skills. Project management and prioritization skills. Ability to work across functions and regions with a proactive attitude. Leadership in key initiatives.
