Washington Gas is seeking a
Director of Supply Chain
to lead and mentor the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team. The role involves managing a team of Category Managers and Sourcing Specialists, developing strategic plans, and ensuring the organization meets financial targets while delivering value to stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities: Develop and maintain annual Category Plans, including spend analysis, market assessments, and sourcing strategies. Execute sourcing strategies through RFx, negotiations, and demand management. Lead contract negotiations, ensure policy compliance, and assess financial impacts. Manage stakeholder relationships and coordinate contract amendments and supplier relationships. Monitor category performance using KPIs and implement improvements. Provide leadership and mentorship to the SCM team, overseeing Category Managers and Specialists. Contribute to process improvements and stay current with industry practices. Your Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Supply Chain Management. 10+ years of relevant experience, with 5+ years in supervisory roles, preferably in gas or electric utilities. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills. Ability to analyze pricing and financial data, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities. Excellent collaboration and relationship management skills. We offer a competitive salary of $176,000 to $262,500 annually, along with comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
