ABOUT THE JOB: The Business Development Director for (Insert Specified Market) is responsible for developing and closing high-value growth opportunities in the assigned vertical market. BDDs will develop territory marketing and individual business plans, establish strong alliances with clients, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders, and create a value proposition for WillScot services in the designated vertical and geographic markets. As a true hunter, the BDD leverages data, industry trends, and professional networks to pursue and close profitable new customers for WillScot.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

Prospect and close new potential customers in the assigned vertical market.

Develop, implement, and execute Go-To-Market plans, identifying key customers and relationships within the vertical market, collaborating with the broader sales team.

Create and manage customer-focused strategies to address challenges and create a competitive advantage for WillScot.

Conduct sales calls/meetings with targeted customers, demonstrating a thorough understanding of WillScot's full product portfolio.

Monitor industry trends and competitive dynamics to seize opportunities and address challenges.

Drive strategic marketing and outreach efforts in conjunction with the Marketing team to develop opportunities within the vertical.

Negotiate contract terms, master lease agreements, and other commercial requirements to ensure mutual understanding and profitability.

Transition customer relationships smoothly to the account management team.

Collaborate across departments to close initiatives and growth opportunities.

Provide excellent customer service and maintain long-term relationships for repeat business.

Prepare proposals and respond to RFPs as needed.

Leverage marketing and design services to create compelling bid documents and reflect our value proposition.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

10+ years of successful commercial sales or business development experience with proven results.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.

Proven ability to prospect and secure high-value new business in the targeted vertical.

Knowledge of proposal/bid processes, competitive proposals, and sales lifecycle development.

Experience with proposal preparation, contract negotiations, and contract management for large accounts.

Excellent negotiation and customer relationship skills.

Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment across multiple departments.

Proficient in CRM systems and adaptable to new technologies.

Strong organizational, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.

Willingness to travel up to 50% within the US.
