- especially those driven by PLC-controlled systems? We’re looking for a hands-on Director of Operations who brings

10+ years of progressive supply chain and operational leadership

to the table. This is a high-impact role that requires sharp decision-making, strategic vision, and the ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a

fast-paced, highly automated environment . As the Director of Operations, you’ll oversee logistics, production, assembly, and inventory management, ensuring efficiency, cost control, and quality output across the board. You’ll play a key role in optimizing our end-to-end operations while maintaining the agility needed to support product innovation and growth. Essential Functions: Strategic Leadership:

Provide operational direction and leadership with a strong focus on supply chain optimization, leveraging your extensive experience to streamline processes and improve responsiveness across departments.

Production Oversight:

Partner with production leads to establish and monitor schedules, ensuring all resources—human and material—are aligned to meet strict deadlines in a PLC-controlled environment.

Supply Chain Expertise:

Manage and evolve the entire supply chain operation, from procurement through delivery. Demonstrated ability to drive efficiency, reduce lead times, and lower working capital requirements.

Inventory Optimization:

Lead lean inventory strategies that support customer demand while minimizing excess stock and unnecessary holding costs.

Manufacturing Focus:

Apply your experience in a manufacturing setting to oversee equipment utilization, production workflows, and staff performance with a focus on output and continuous improvement.

Quality Assurance:

Own quality across the operation—driving standards for accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Team Development:

Build and lead high-performing teams. Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to create a strong, proactive operations culture.

Maintenance & Equipment:

Establish preventative maintenance plans to ensure uninterrupted production, particularly in automation-heavy environments.

Process Innovation:

Identify and implement process improvements and capacity expansions that support growth and enhance operational excellence.

Budget & Cost Control:

Manage departmental budgets, with a focus on achieving cost savings through smarter procurement, reduced waste, and improved planning.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

Coordinate efforts across sales, R&D, service, and suppliers to support product launches and scale new offerings effectively.

Problem Resolution:

Act as the go-to leader for resolving operational roadblocks, from supply disruptions and equipment issues to production delays. Requirements 10+ years of experience: You’ve got a proven track record of success in managing operations in a manufacturing environment, with a deep understanding of production, quality control, and supply chain management. Tech-Savvy: You’re a whiz with production management systems and MRP reports. Lean & Mean: You understand lean manufacturing techniques and know how to implement them to optimize productivity. People Skills: You know how to lead, inspire, and develop teams, and you’re skilled in conflict resolution and driving collaboration across departments. Passion & Grit: A “can-do” attitude and a relentless drive to get things done. Business Acumen: You’re well-versed in business finance, profitability, and managing working capital effectively. ERP Experience: Experience with ERP systems like SyteLine is a big plus! Supervisory Responsibility and Organizational Relationships: Lead a diverse team spanning assembly, production, logistics, quality control, and repair center operations. Report directly to the President and participate actively in senior management meetings. Work closely with all other departments, from sales to engineering, ensuring seamless execution of company goals. Work Environment: This is a hybrid role, with a mix of office and manufacturing floor activities. Expect a mix of office work (computers, phones, meetings) and some time spent on the manufacturing floor. Physical Demands: You may need to lift up to 50 pounds from time to time. Be prepared for some walking, standing, and hands-on tasks in addition to desk work. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, salaried position. Typical hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, though some flexibility may be available. Expect occasional evening and weekend work based on project needs.
