Protective Intelligence Analyst

to join our team embedded with our client in Seattle! This position allows for remote work arrangements within the United States. Candidates must be comfortable working Pacific Standard Time.

JOB DESCRIPTION The Protective Intelligence Analyst is a position within the Security team reporting to the Chief of Security. This position conducts, analyzes, assesses, and reports risks and threats to the Principal and the company, and conducts rapid assessments of inappropriate communications (IC’s) and Persons of Interest (POI’s) to determine the level of concern and mitigate identified risk. This individual must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize requests, provide deep-dive analysis, and summarize relevant information for other analysts, senior security management, and appropriate stakeholders. RESPONSIBILITIES Produce, edit, and revise intelligence reports, location assessments, threat assessments, and investigations Identify, manage, and report threat intelligence related to travel and public events to support executive protection teams in protecting key personnel Monitor all-source information to identify operational and reputational exposures and risks related to the Principal and company, and alert appropriate stakeholders Conduct deep-dive investigations and analysis into POI’s Evaluate escalating situations, apply critical thinking, and coordinate with other security personnel including the Protective Intelligence Investigator Utilize threat assessment tools and coordinate with Investigator to make recommendations Triage and analyze inappropriate correspondence, including email, physical mail, and telephonic messages, to determine the level of risk to the Principal and organization Manage incoming requests for information, provide timely and pertinent analysis, and coordinate response efforts with multiple departments Monitor current events and trends in real time and prepare timely alerts that contribute to analytical products and briefs Collaborate with stakeholders to assess risk to assets and implement processes to mitigate vulnerabilities Work in concert with internal teams identifying, documenting, and tracking POIs Work closely with Investigator and legal team to prepare investigations for civil and or criminal legal actions Provide reports and intelligence briefings to senior leadership Develop and maintain system to track and report program metrics Assist in case management and provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports Create policies and procedures in support of the program Coordinate with contracted intel and investigative support Travel in support of intelligence and investigations, as required Benchmark with other investigative and intelligence professionals in the Protective Intelligence community Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the intelligence field Identify and coordinate training opportunities Collaborate in the development of the protective intel program Create and conduct internal department training Attend security team protection and investigation related training Investigate confidential matters at the direction of the Chief of Security and the Lead Protective Intelligence Analyst Perform other job-related functions as assigned by the Chief of Security and the Lead Protective Intelligence Analyst REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 3+ years of combined experience in analytical, investigative, threat assessment, law enforcement, and/or executive protection disciplines Experience working with highly confidential information This position requires the availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays Ability to accommodate a non-traditional work schedule and remain flexible to meet the requirements of the business Experience in open-source investigation techniques Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to succinctly summarize and assess information Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record Knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote and Outlook Required documentation to travel domestically Must be able to pass Background Investigation May be required to travel up to 30% Experience with Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence tools and case management systems Expertise in conducting comprehensive, open-source investigations and producing detailed threat assessments Exceptional business writing skills, including editing for accuracy, clarity, and concision Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills; able to gather, aggregate, and disseminate information clearly and concisely, while firmly representing the Chief of Security’s preferences Excellent organization and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize multiple tasks with constant interruptions, meet changing deadlines and requests, and strategically think ahead to anticipate and solve problems Ability to perform well under pressure and maintain a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude under a variety of circumstances and time sensitive situations Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times and able to use discretion with communications Must be able to uphold and ensure security and confidentiality of all information Proven ability to deliver high-quality presentations and written briefs requiring a high level of attention to detail Exceptional financial management skills with the ability to develop and articulate expense needs and variances Comfortability in coordinating with internal and external agencies, including physical security, contracted intelligence and investigative support, and law enforcement (as needed), in order to accurately execute investigations Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, where there is role overlap, ambiguity and conflicting points of view; comfortable working both independently and as part of team Ability to react well under pressure and maintain a positive, cooperative, and professional attitude in stressful and time sensitive situations and circumstances High integrity and sound judgment in decision-making Ability to offer creative solutions when faced with challenges, think through alternatives, and implement the best course of action Comfortable taking the initiative to solve problems and move work forward while having the judgment to know when to consult colleagues and the Chief of Security Outstanding people skills and ability to interface with diverse groups, individuals and across multiple organizations, treating all with respect and consideration regardless of status or position Highly proficient using Microsoft Office with a strong focus on Outlook, OneNote, Word, Excel, and SharePoint Openness and willingness to learn;
