Executive Protection Manager to join our team ( embedded with our client in Mountain View, CA! )

*This position requires working onsite from Mountain View, San Francisco, CA, and various locations (Extensive domestic and international travel required). The successful candidate will report to the Bay Area offices when not traveling. JOB DESCRIPTION As a highly experienced and professional Executive Protection Manager, you will provide close protection and ensure the safety of high-profile individuals and C-suite executives during both domestic and international travel. The role demands discretion, adaptability, and the ability to assess and respond to dynamic threats in a range of environments. This travel-intensive position requires flexibility, availability on short notice, and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism. This management position will coordinate the Executive Protection calendar and staffing of Executive Protection specialists, and will also draft and enforce standard operating procedures for the Executive Protection staff. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide close protection and secure transportation for principals across various locations, including high-risk areas. Coordinate Executive Protection resource allocations for C-Suite travel, working closely with the director of Protective Services and key stakeholders. Advance planning: conduct site assessments, route reconnaissance, and threat analyses ahead of principal movements. Coordinate with local law enforcement, venue security, and logistical teams to ensure comprehensive safety protocols. Maintain a low profile while remaining constantly alert and prepared to react to emergencies or threats. Travel with principals, often internationally, managing logistics and ensuring seamless transitions between locations. Monitor environments for suspicious activity and adjust protection strategies as needed in real time. Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of the principal at all times. Maintain physical fitness and readiness to respond to a variety of security situations. Keep detailed logs and incident reports as required by organizational procedures. Provide management and oversight for Protective Services Agent(s) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Federal-level Executive Protection experience, including, but not limited to: Federal Diplomatic Security, Secret Service, Intelligence Community Executive Protection, etc. Minimum 7 years of experience in executive protection, with at least 2 years in a high-travel EP role. High level of discretion and professionalism. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, the successful candidate will interact directly with C-Suite, Intelligence, Event Security, and associated stakeholders on a regular basis. EP certifications preferred (e.g., Executive Protection Institute, ASIS, or equivalent). Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Valid passport and ability to obtain visas as needed. Must hold/obtain a CA BSIS required certification. Ability to hold/obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification, or TECC/TCCC certification. Experience working in diverse environments, including high-risk or politically sensitive regions. Skilled in synthesizing facts, concepts, and principles. Emotional intelligence and a customer-focused approach status. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram, or schedule form. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public. Ability to work collectively and collaboratively. This position requires up to 50-60% travel. This full-time position will work non-standard days and hours, including days, evenings, and weekends. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent situational awareness and threat assessment capabilities. Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in high-stress situations. Proficiency in using communication and GPS equipment, and familiarity with surveillance detection techniques.
