The Demand Planning Manager plays a key role in optimizing Harrington’s network forecast accuracy in collaboration with the Sr. Director of Supply Chain and other leaders. This role directly impacts purchasing efficiency across all branches by managing forecast processes and leading demand planning efforts.
Responsibilities
Lead and continuously improve the network-wide forecasting process using SO99+, business input, and manual analysis where needed. Publish monthly forecasted Min/Max values for stock items in Prelude. Assess forecast accuracy and tune forecasts for high-impact SKUs, regions, and product lines. Optimize high-level settings in SO99+ to align with business objectives. Partner with internal stakeholders to identify and address forecasting opportunities. Collaborate with IT and external partners (e.g., ToolsGroup) to enhance forecast tools and data accuracy. Oversee recurring data refreshes and resolve data issues. Supervise, train, and provide performance feedback to Demand Planner(s). Audit forecast data prior to publishing and support reporting on service levels and consigned inventory.
