Specific Job Functions:
Greet delivery staff in a professional and courteous manner Determine, using the inventory / purchasing computer system, if a valid Purchase Order (PO) exists and print a Receiving Worksheet Transfer goods from delivery vehicle to the receiving dock using power jacks and forklifts Compare PO instructions, specifications, and quantities to the physical product Compare Receiving Worksheet quantities to vendor invoice quantities Document any discrepancies in quantities on the vendor invoice Document any discrepancies in quantities, quality, and refusals on the Receiving Worksheet Attach vendor invoice to Receiving Worksheet after signing for goods received Perform receiving tasks with a sense of urgency and complete tasks in a timely manner Transport processed receipts from the receiving dock to a designated staging location Maintain and update Receiving log sheets Clean equipment, sweep floors, and empty trash on a daily basis Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition Assist in the preparation of data for the next business day Participate in company sponsored classes to upgrade skill levels Assist the Purchasing Department with the documentation and receipt of goods procured Assist the Warehouse and Inventory Control Departments with daily inquiries and reconciliations Maintain a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with staff, co-workers, senior management, and outside contractors Alert supervisors of any suspicious behavior or misappropriation of company property Drive / operate company vehicles, forklifts, power jacks, and other industrial tools and equipment to complete assigned tasks Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department Responsibilities/Qualifications:
At least three years Receiving experience in a hotel / casino environment required A minimum of three years experience using Excel, Word, and a computerized inventory / purchasing system Previous experience with Stratton Warren preferred At least three years experience operating receiving equipment including forklift, electric pallet jack, rider pallet jack, hand trucks, and flat bed trucks Industrial Truck certification preferred Professional appearance and demeanor a must
