The Line Cook at Wheatland Village maintains efficient performance in food preparation in the Culinary Department and ensures adequate follow-through of job duties as outlined by the supervisor. Complies with federal, state, and local standards for facility operation. Incorporates the Generations' Mission, Vision, and Values into their daily work and interactions with others.

Full-time, Wednesday through Thursday from 10:30 am to 7 pm Weekends and on-call during the week JOB SPECIFICATION:
Prepares all food as outlined by the menu and ensures appropriate and appetizing presentation of food items. Responsible for addressing food complaints immediately if possible and offering an alternative as necessary. Ensures that residents who are on special diets are offered their dietary options as directed by themselves, their physician, or family members. Ensure compliance of ALF with federal, state, and local standards. Assist personnel and residents in establishing a home-like atmosphere. All other duties assigned. Education:
High school diploma or GED. Certification in CPR and First Aid within the first 30 days. Ability to read, write, communicate, and follow written and oral instructions in the English language. Work Experience:
Experience in Food preparation is desirable, but not required. Needs to have knowledge of food handling operations and the ability to prepare nutritious food and present it in an appetizing manner that meets all the dietary needs of the residents. Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferable.
