Shipping Clerk

to join our team!

This position is an administrative position in an office environment.

This individual will be responsible for overseeing the shipment of products from our warehouse or distribution center to various locations. Primary duties will include preparing shipping documents, coordinating shipments with carriers, negotiating freight rates, and ensuring that orders are shipped accurately and on time.

Hours:

8:00am - 4:30pm / M-F

Responsibilities Receive and process orders for shipment. Prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading & shipping labels. Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries. Verify the accuracy of shipping information, including addresses. Update shipping records and maintain shipping logs for carriers into custom software. Make sure orders are going out complete based on pick tickets provided by warehouse. Resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments, such as damaged products or incorrect orders. Minimize shipping costs by comparing trucking rates, combining shipping utilizing Kuebix web-based shipping system. Communicate with warehouse staff, customer service representatives, and other stakeholders to coordinate shipping activities. Check pick-up orders daily and call pick-up customers if necessary. Assist with customer pick-up orders at the pick-up window. Answer incoming phone calls to assist customers with order status, tracking information, etc. Run daily shipping reports. Follow safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Requirements

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred. Familiarity with shipping software and systems (e.g., UPS, FedEx, USPS). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Benefits:
