6:00 AM - 2:30 PM POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking an experienced

Cook

to join the

Patient Food and Nutrition Services

team at Michigan Medicine Hospital. This role plays a crucial part in delivering

nutritious and high-quality meals

to patients and staff in a

fast-paced healthcare environment . The ideal candidate has experience in food preparation, menu planning, and a strong understanding of dietary guidelines. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and cook

meals according to

established recipes and dietary guidelines . Assist in

menu planning , ensuring

nutritional value and dietary compliance . Maintain

kitchen cleanliness

and ensure

proper food storage . Operate

kitchen tools and equipment , including knives and cooking appliances, safely and efficiently. Follow

strict food safety and sanitation regulations

in compliance with hospital standards. Collaborate with kitchen staff to provide

timely meal service . Monitor

inventory levels

and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Participate in

training and mentoring

new kitchen team members. QUALIFICATIONS:

Proven experience

as a cook in a high-volume food service setting. Strong understanding of

culinary techniques

and

nutrition planning . Familiarity with

dietary aide practices

is a plus. Excellent

knife skills

and proficiency in food preparation methods. Ability to work

efficiently under pressure

while maintaining attention to detail. Strong

teamwork and communication skills . Flexibility to work

varied shifts, including evenings and weekends , as required. Join our
