Overview:
A Warehouse Worker plays a vital role in the success of the warehouse by performing various duties such as receiving, processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders, packing, and shipping. This physically demanding position requires standing for 90-95% of the shift and working in a busy, sometimes noisy environment with temperature variations influenced by seasonal weather.
Key Responsibilities: Load and unload pallets and individual cases to and from trailers Collect empty pallet boards and transport them to storage Build and assemble cardboard boxes Pick cases according to orders using required technology Load trailers using carts or by stacking cases on trailer floors Receive and distribute product and assist in weekly inventory counts Sort cardboard into bins, strap bundles, and roll bundles onto trailers using a dolly Perform general housekeeping and sanitation tasks (e.g., sweeping floors, cleaning trailers, removing trash) Lift objects weighing between 15 and 50 pounds (e.g., bowling balls to twin mattresses) with or without reasonable accommodation Sort cartons, assist with clean outs, and load outs of cartons Sanitize carton area and assist crane operators with carton service Control carton inventory and recycle old cardboard
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, pull, and handle products up to 50 lbs. Ability to wear required safety gear such as hairnets, safety glasses, and bump caps throughout the workday
Additional Requirements: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, off shifts, and overtime as needed
Work Environment: Indoor warehouse and manufacturing settings with loud noise and limited temperature control
