Baton is looking for a strategic operator with sharp analytical instincts and a strong bias for action to lead the growth and management of our buyer network. As Buyer Operations Manager, you will be responsible for proactively sourcing new buyers while deepening engagement and improving match rates between buyers and sellers. This role sits at the core of Baton's buyer product strategy and is critical to driving liquidity across our marketplace. Key Responsibilities

Buyer Network Expansion : Strategically grow and diversify Baton's buyer base by identifying gaps in buyer coverage (financial profile, geography, industry interest, etc.) and sourcing new buyers accordingly.

Demand-Supply Matching : Leverage data & insights to identify opportunities to connect existing buyers with current and new listings.

Buyer Engagement : Improve buyer activation, engagement, and retention through lifecycle programs, communications, and platform enhancements.

Partnerships & Outreach : Manage partnerships with external buyer networks and groups, while collaborating closely with the Head of Growth on programmatic buyer acquisition and marketing campaigns.

Journey Optimization : Shape and optimize the buyer journey across onboarding, discovery, and listing engagement to improve platform satisfaction and conversion rates. Leverage AI and new technologies to deliver a personalized and contextual experience.

Insights & Experimentation : Analyze buyer behavior, run experiments to test growth hypotheses, and operationalize successful tactics.

Own Performance Metrics : Key KPIs include number of active buyers, buyer engagement rates, LOIs generated

Qualifications

Required: 3-4 years of professional experience Ideally 1-2 years in an analytical role (e.g., consulting, investment banking, strategy, or finance)

Plus 1-2 years in an operations, partnerships, or product operations role at a high growth technology company

Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to synthesize both qualitative and quantitative data to inform decision-making

Experience managing or growing a user base and designing programs to drive engagement and conversion

Experience building and managing external partnerships

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working cross-functionally across growth, product, and operations

Preferred: Experience managing a marketplace or two-sided platform

Experience using hypothesis-driven thinking and rapid experimentation to develop product strategy

Experience building & managing a partner program
