Sanitation Technician - Night Shift

Diamond Pet Foods - Lathrop plant is accepting applications for full-time night shift Sanitation Technician. Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year experience in cleaning in an industrial setting such as manufacturing, hospital, food, meat processing, etc.The Sanitation Technician is responsible to ensure the cleanliness/sanitation of the facility and machinery in both the raw and finished product areas. We also believe every pet owner deserves great value.Rate of pay - $18.90 per hour plus $2.00 per hour night shift differential.Essential Job DutiesEnsure minimal risk of cross contamination by properly utilizing color-coded equipment in the appropriate colored zones.Complete clean out of production lines by foaming, sanitizing, scrubbing, and scraping using various chemicals and tools.May perform work in confined spaces, at heights, and in basement adhering to all safety procedures.Complete the Master Sanitation schedule of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.Utilize chemical awareness training in cleaning.Correctly and clearly fill out master sanitation, verification of test strips and logs.Performs all assigned activities and job tasks within their area including outside of area as directed.Understand the hazards of cross contamination.Understand, follow, and comply with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.Must successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screening.
