AM Shift Bartender, The Living Room

SUMMARY:
The Bartender will work closely with fellow service members as well as the Culinary team to ensure a memorable, five-star experience for our guests. The focus of this role will be providing luxury beverage and food service to our guests, using a friendly and professional demeanor. This role will contribute to Front of House operations by efficiently and correctly preparing all cocktails to Dewberry standards and guest specifications as well as other operational and managerial goals.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Major areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to: Prepare all drink orders to customer request and recipe specifications Maintain a thorough knowledge of cocktail recipes as well as all other food and beverage offerings Verify guest identification in observance of legal age requirements Obtain guest last name and utilize throughout the entirety of the guests' visit Assume responsibility for set-up of bar stations, including completing any necessary prep work for service Asses guest preferences in order to make informed recommendations Remain guest-focused in order to foster an excellent guest experience Drive revenue through utilization of suggestive selling techniques Consistently inquire as to guest allergies and dietary restrictions Record guest orders and place orders trough the Point of Sale system to the kitchen, notifying the Culinary team of any special instructions Stock and replenish all bar liquors, beers, wines, garnishes, syrups, ice, glassware, and other supplies as needed throughout service Accurately record all bar transactions through the Point of Sale system Handle all cash and credit card transactions as well as room charges as specified by The Dewberry's standards, policies, and procedures Maintain a composed and professional demeanor whilst multi-tasking in order to ensure a seamless 5-Star experience for all guests, regardless of business levels Ensure guest satisfaction throughout their visit, providing solutions to complaints and escalating issues to management when necessary Provide guests with a friendly farewell, inviting them to return Maintain a sanity bar environment, adhering to DHEC guidelines Follow local and state laws in addition to The Dewberry's policies and procedures for the safe service of alcoholic beverages to guests QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma/GED required Must be available to work morning and daytime shifts Dependable work ethic with a positive attitude Consistent punctuality with regular and reliable attendance Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to work well within a team 1+ years of high volume, luxury beverage service experience required Thorough knowledge of beverage and cocktail recipes and specifications Thorough knowledge of safe food and beverage handling procedures Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time Ability to bend, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, stretch, and reach Ability to work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment Ability to operate hand tools and kitchen equipment BENEFITS OF JOINING THE DEWBERRY TEAM:
