The Accounting Clerk will perform a variety of general accounting support tasks in the accounting department. This includes processing transactions, preparing reports, reconciling accounts, and assisting with audits.

How you'll be spending your time:

Preparing daily bank deposits. Recording and reconciling all daily cash and credit card transactions. Including backup documents and problem-solving any unusual activity. Completing general ledger month-end balance sheet account reconciliations. Completing all non-medical claims billing and accounts receivables. Processing pledge's, donations, and grant receipts and reporting weekly. Assisting with the preparation of the monthly journal entries. Auditing organization's corporate procurement cards activity monthly. Opening, reviewing, and disseminating all incoming mail into the Finance and Accounting departments. Preparing of the monthly financial reports including key indicator reports and dashboards. Responding to vendor and customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintaining confidentiality of financial and employee data. Supporting external and internal audits by providing documentation and reports including advance preparation and subsequent follow through. Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal policies. Collaborating with other department to ensure accurate financial reporting. Contributing to the organization's mission by complying with Lifeworks policies and procedures, using resources wisely. Following safety procedures and assist in identifying safety needs for self and others. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements

Associate's degree in accounting or related field with 2 years of accounting experience. Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Familiarity with ERP systems. (e.g., Great Plans, Dynamics SL, or Sage Intacct). Advanced skills in Excel. Fluent in English, verbal and written.
