6+ months Responsibilities:
Proficient in Linux (SLES, RHEL) environments. Over 10 years of experience in system administration, including hardware and physical infrastructure such as HP ProLiant series and Synergy series; responsible for upgrades, patching, configuration management, performance tuning, troubleshooting, analysis, and capacity planning. Skilled in TCP/IP networking, network tuning, topology, and firewalled environments. Knowledge of routing principles, client/server programming, Ethernet, bonding, PCIe technologies, and protocols like NFS, NIS, DNS, LDAP, DHCP, TCP/IP, UDP, IGMP, FTP, SFTP, TFTP, NTP, GPS, PTP, SSH. Assist with UNIX change requests, perform advanced system tuning (CPU, threads, TCP/IP, NIC, memory), and collaborate with UNIX engineering and vendors. Maintain compliance with database standards, perform software, OS, and hardware upgrades, provide 24/7 support, and handle incident reports. Follow operational procedures to minimize incidents and successfully deploy infrastructure. Proficient in shell and Perl scripting for automation to reduce manual tasks.
