The
Senior Infrastructure Engineer
will oversee the firm's transition to the Microsoft Cloud, encompassing Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Security & Identity and Productivity & Collaboration solutions. This role will be responsible for leading enterprise-wide infrastructure initiatives, with an emphasis on optimizing the hybrid network environment and facilitating cloud migration efforts. Key responsibilities include managing Microsoft technologies such as Microsoft Azure, Windows Servers and associated cloud infrastructure, as well as M365 administration, Entra Identity Management and Intune Endpoint Administration. This role requires close collaboration with technology partners and service providers to effectively manage, configure and monitor the firm's infrastructure environment.
Schneider Downs has embraced the hybrid work model, so this role will have flexibility working from home, as well as in the office.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Management of technology infrastructure, including Microsoft cloud and on-premises systems, servers, telephony, networking, remote access and other essential infrastructure technologies Configure, maintain and monitor Azure, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies and Intune Management of infrastructure projects, including implementation, upgrades and maintenance Manage network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, access points and VPNs Manage Windows servers and their hosting platforms (VMWare), including backups and performance monitoring Implementation of infrastructure standards, policies, security, resource management and optimization Align identity architecture and role-based access control with zero trust security models and IT security best practices Development of disaster recovery plans, execution of those plans, and testing for all technology infrastructure Provide tier 3 support to the Information Systems helpdesk and collaborate with Information Systems staff on systems, projects and technical issues Researching the latest technological advancements and developing recommendations for Information Systems management Collaborate with security, development and operations teams to ensure compliance and best practices Automate repetitive tasks and improve system efficiency through scripting and tooling WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Required :
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field Minimum of three years of experience in enterprise infrastructure roles Technical expertise in Azure Infrastructure and cost management, Microsoft 365 Administration, Entra ID and InTune Strong networking background (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing) and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, etc. Preferred :
Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert and Azure Network Engineer Associate Other :
Ability to work on several different aspects of a project or on multiple projects Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
