JOB SUMMARY
The Production Control Specialist II is responsible for order planning/scheduling and the creation of purchase requisitions to maintain adequate and accurate in-stock levels, and the control of these levels required to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
DUTIES/RESULTS Responsible for maintaining inventory levels established by Product Marketing for domestic and international products using kanbans and execution of purchase requisitions. Responsible for semi-annual review of product kanban levels and adjustments as required. Determine new product kanban level in conjunction with PMK, and communicate to stores personnel areas of improvement. Expediting customer and standard orders as required with international or domestic vendors and with Manufacturing to ensure customer satisfaction. Releasing sales orders through PC Cockpit, creating production orders and generating pick tags. Responsible for routine visible inventory maintenance. Scheduling orders to the level of capacity for each product. Provide Management with inventory reduction considerations as requested. Monitoring and maintaining delinquent sales orders. Processing returns and rejects (non-conforming material). Provide leadership and training to level I Specialists as required. Cross training with other Production Control Specialists Perform other duties as required.

Responsible for order handling/scheduling and initiating purchase orders and following up on work-in-progress to ensure conformance to schedule and customer demand. Must be team oriented and dedicated to total customer satisfaction. Must be responsible, well organized, and able to work with limited supervision, adaptable to change, and mature. Requires basic knowledge of all applicable products in order to properly define modification requirements and possibilities. Must be able to perform multiple tasks with frequent interruptions. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

College undergraduate in business related fields or a minimum of 5 years' experience in materials management and order planning/scheduling.
