In 2014, we became a Federally Qualified Health Center to offer an expanded range of health and wellness services for anyone and everyone who is seeking healthcare services in Greater New Orleans and Southeastern Louisiana.Our MissionStrengthening our entire community through whole-person healthcare and education.Position SummaryThe Registered Nurse Manager is a strong leader and is responsible for the operational and administrative needs of the medical teams for the facility or facilities they are assigned to, as well as direct administrative oversite of other Registered Nurses, Medical Assistants, and Licensed Practical Nurses collaborating with medical providers on the clinical teams. The RN manager ensures nursing practice guidelines and best practices are maintained and followed.Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide leadership, management, and strategic vision for the departmentBuild a consistent culture within the nursing department that enables the work of the department to occurCooperates, collaborates, integrates programmatic work, and effectively communicates with other CrescentCare departmentsDevelop and cultivate strong relationships Maintain knowledge of nursing best practices that strategically affect the department's programs and develop plansAssist with managing the department budgetRecruitment and hiring of assigned nursing positionsSupervising staffOverseeing clinical operations and nursing practices for assigned staffTrainingClinic inventory managementEnsure that logs are maintained according to policies and proceduresQualificationsEducationBachelor's Degree in Nursing requiredMaster's Degree (preferred)Work Experience A minimum of 5 years of nursing experience requiredA minimum of 5 years of management experience (supervising others) - nursing leadership experience requiredOther (licensure, certifications) Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse licenseMaintain BLS certificationValid Louisiana Driver's LicenseTotal Compensation PackageWe believe the investment we make in our employees is among the most important.
