Position summary: The Attendant/Cashier is responsible for all point of sale and supporting transactions with internal and external food and beverage customers. Primary duties and responsibilities include taking guests orders in a timely fashion, responsible for serving, bussing and streamlining service at table and counter seating, and actively up selling products and using endorsements at all appropriate service opportunities. Secondary duties and responsibilities include maintaining all legal beverage service guidelines, preparing and breaking down service stations in accordance with dining room standards, and assisting guests with any general casino information, when needed. Minimum education and qualifications include ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment, good verbal and written communication skills, and must be able to effectively communicate with guests and co-workers in English. Competencies include knowledge of spirits, beers, wines, glassware, garnishes and beverage service techniques, knowledge and skill in all check reconciliation procedures including, cash, comps, credit cards, coupons, players club points, vouchers and gift cards. Training requirements include previous food server or cashiering experience. Physical demands and work environment include must be able to stand for long periods of time with frequent lifting and bending, must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours.
