Infleqtion Applications Engineer

We are seeking an Applications Engineer to establish and lead a new Applications Lab focused on rapid prototyping with Infleqtion's cutting-edge quantum technologies, including atomic clocks and quantum sensors. This hands-on role is critical in bridging engineering and customer engagement. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives in fast-paced, cross-disciplinary environments and is excited by the opportunity to develop compelling technology demonstrations that directly align with market needs. This individual will work closely with Business Development and Sales teams to identify customer interests and translate those into functional prototypes and application demos. Success in this role requires strong technical breadth, creative problem-solving, and excellent communication skills. Job Responsibilities Establish, organize, and manage the Infleqtion Applications Lab to support demo development and prototyping. Design, build, and deploy proof-of-concept systems that showcase the utility of quantum products in real-world scenarios. Engage directly with Sales and BD teams to interpret customer needs and shape product application narratives. Integrate with cross-functional engineering teams to understand internal platforms and modify them to suit market test cases. Design and implement custom software to interface existing hardware platforms, integrating diverse subsystems into cohesive, demo-ready applications. Develop simulations that demonstrate feasibility of application concepts and contribute to technical publications and white papers Maintain and improve demo codebase and hardware infrastructure. Document prototypes, write test protocols, and assist in transferring successful applications to product teams. Support public and private demonstrations and assist in customer workshops.
