The Warehouse Laborer Assistant works in the Holiday Warehouse & Design Center, providing hands-on support to the creative team. This position is cross trained in multiple roles across the creative department, able to assist with replica plants and Holiday when needed.

Warehouse Labor Assistant Duties and Responsibilities

Collaborates with Creative Department Manager to handle all aspects of material movement for warehouse production for Design Center and Holiday Checks in shipments: receives, unpacks, sorts, and organizes materials Under supervision of Creative Department Manager, pulls materials for jobs designated on production ticket, pulling materials (props, ornaments, trees, etc.) and following specifications to fulfill customer orders in the Production Center or Holiday Warehouse Carefully wraps & boxes outgoing props and glitter gift boxes labeled for each client Pulls, bags, and labels outgoing holiday material for installation Loads daily trucks for Holiday Installation Uses expectations of product quality to check, sort, classify, and organize product During take-down, organizes materials for storage at warehouse. Sorts through product and assesses the quality for next season Performs work safely, complying with company and industry safety standards; attends trainings including ladder safety and lift certification Under supervision of Designer & Production Manager, will be cross trained in other production roles to ensure timely job completion Requirements

Warehouse Labor Assistant Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred Basic reading, writing and math skills Basic computer skills in Microsoft office suite and ability to learn additional computer programs Knowledge of products, product placement, product handling, and concepts of good design desired Collaborative, team-focused work ethic; professional communication skills Self-motivated and reliable; ability to work independently and solve problems Flexibility and adaptability to adjust to changing demands Learning mindset; openness to new ideas Detail oriented and ability to multi-task and stay organized to meet deadlines Reliable transportation and availability to work shifts as scheduled, often 6 am-2:30 pm; or 7- 3:30 dependent upon business needs. Overtime required during peak season (expected to be October, November and parts of December and January) Forklift operator and or aerial lift experience preferred; will be required to pass training and certification Has used or ability to learn and use pallet jack Has used or willingness to learn forklift operations Valid Driver's license and clean driving record; ability to drive company vehicles

Physical Requirements

This position requires constant movement and being on your feet for 90% of the day. This position frequently moves about the warehouse and regularly moves through tight spaces. This position frequently ascends and descends ladders. This position frequently lifts and moves up to 30 pounds and regularly lifts and moves weight up to 50 pounds. This position pushes and loads large carts. This position requires color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment

This job requires the employee to work regularly in humid conditions. This position will be exposed to fluctuations of temperature including extreme cold and extreme heat. This position is may be exposed to common allergens such as dust. The work environment may include occasional loud noise.
