Winpak Films is seeking a Lead Extrusion Operator to join the Production Team based out of our Senoia, Ga working a D Shift.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that Extrusion Operators perform to expected levels in safety, quality, and troubleshooting. You will support the team by training new hires, providing guidance on procedures and policies, and ensuring that all operational goals are met. As a key player, you will help lead the team in achieving Winpak's goals while setting the example in leadership and technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities/ What you will do:
Lead and guide Extrusion Operators to meet production, safety, quality, and scrap goals daily. Conduct quality checks and monitor machinery to ensure consistent high-quality output while minimizing equipment failure. Assist in training new hires and existing operators in machinery, safety, and quality procedures. Troubleshoot production line issues and collaborate with Process Technicians to resolve any issues. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment. Ensure all scrap materials are properly labeled and weighed, adhering to company procedures. Lead by example, promoting teamwork and fostering a positive work environment among operators and other departments. Required Qualifications/What is required?
High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years' experience as an Extrusion Operator, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proven leadership abilities and the ability to motivate and guide a team. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce them effectively. Preferred Qualifications/What is nice to have?
Post-secondary education in a relevant field. Experience with extrusion machinery and production processes. Advanced troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Additional Details:
