Nurse Manager - Patient Placement Operations

Hours of Work :FT - 40 HOURS/WEEKDays Of Week :Sun-SatWork Shift :Job Description :The Nurse Manager of Patient Placement Operations works closely with Methodist Healthcare System (MHS) medical staff, administrators, department heads, nursing staff and outlying facilities and their physicians to coordinate appropriate placement of patients within the system (and hospitals) in a timely manner. Responsible for leading, organizing, inspiring all members of the placement team, and accountability. Works independently and interdependently with hospital and corporate systems to accomplish efficient, cost effective, quality patient care. Responsible for the operations of the department, while overseeing the schedule and ensuring staff and equipment is available to provide service to the staff and patients. The Nurse Manager is responsible for hiring, disciplinary action, and yearly reviews for the staff.
