Responsibilities
Raba Kistner is seeking a detail-oriented, dependable
Payroll and Benefits Supervisor
to join our corporate team in
San Antonio, TX . The Payroll & Benefits Supervisor is primarily responsible for administering and supervising activities related to the company payroll, benefits, and HRIS processing including implementing and monitoring data controls, under general direction of the Payroll and Benefits Manager. Other responsibilities include:
Serve as direct supervisor of payroll and benefits staff members. Implement and maintain payroll best practices under general guidance from the Payroll and Benefits Manager to improve efficiency and collaborate with the Human Resources team to improve payroll and HRIS processes. Supervise payroll for hourly and salaried employees; including reviewing and importing hours from time and attendance system, administering regulatory requirements, e.g., garnishments, tax levies, and support orders, and other adjustments to pay as necessary. Oversee employee records in payroll/HRIS systems. Oversee resolution of employee payroll issues as needed. Produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports pertaining to payroll and benefits requirements. Supervise all employee benefits programs including enrollments and termination in collaboration with the Payroll and Benefits Manager Coordinate open enrollment benefits preparation in collaboration with the Payroll and Benefits Manager as well as other stakeholders. Address benefit inquiries to ensure timely and accurate resolutions. Oversee the processing of monthly billing from providers. Review billings for accuracy and approve for payment in a timely manner. Maintain complete employee payroll files, benefit files, health records, and other documentation for employees as it relates to payroll and benefits. Implement business process improvements related to payroll and benefits in collaboration with the Payroll and Benefits Manager. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field from an accredited four year university or college Minimum of 7 years related experience Minimum of 2 years supervising experience
Intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Suite, Payroll Systems, & HRIS software. Must be a self-starter and work independently. Good interpersonal and organizational skills. Experience in an office environment. Detail and customer service orientated. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to consistently follow through with projects, assignments, meet deadlines, problem solve, be proactive, plan and organize, prioritize and multitask, and utilize the Internet.

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet (library, private office, etc.) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
This position may require protracted or irregular hours. Flexibility to work irregular hours is necessary due to client needs. Work responsibilities may require out of town travel to Raba Kistner offices, client offices and project locations.
