Description
POSITION:
Cook Assistant - Piqua - Troy - Sidney locations CLASSIFICATION: Variable hour - Monday - Friday daytime hours Non-exempt DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support and promote the agency's Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Maintain prompt, punctual attendance. Prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and snack using the cycle menu and production spreadsheets. Ensure meals are visually appealing, taste good, and are served in accurate portions for the age group. Communicate with Support Services Coordinator (SSC) for approval on any necessary menu changes. Post approved daily menu changes to notify teaching staff. Follow individualized plans of action for children with dietary restrictions, allergies, or medical needs. Deliver meals to classrooms prepared for family-style service. Purchase food and supplies to match planned menus and enrollment needs. Report all equipment issues to SSC for evaluation and service. Clean and sanitize equipment and kitchen surfaces daily. Remove trash, sweep, and mop kitchen floors daily. Maintain inventory levels to ensure adequate food supply for the current weekly menu. Prepare and submit food orders and purchase orders to the Cook for approval. Complete and submit accurate food service records, including Cycle menu, Purchase orders, Inventory sheets, and Hot food temperature logs Notify SSC of any equipment needs. Assist with kitchen clean-up as directed and trained by the Cook. Assist with maintaining food inventory as directed and trained by the Cook. Attend and participate in weekly staff meetings when required. Participate in all center emergency drills. Communicate important information to appropriate staff members. Attend all required agency training. Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff. Comply with all agency and program policies. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor Qualifications
Work Experience:

High school diploma or GED 3. Special Conditions:
Ability to lift 40 pounds Ability to stoop, bend, and reach Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Involves organizing, problem-solving, record keeping, and time management
