A well-established healthcare facility is seeking a full-time Floor Manager to oversee the daily operations of its Dental Department. This hands-on leadership role involves supervising a team of receptionists, assistants, and coordinators, while ensuring smooth patient flow, efficient scheduling, and overall department functionality.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with prior supervisory experience, capable of creating a calm and productive environment for both patients and staff. A background in healthcare or dental office operations is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities Include:
Managing all dental staff schedules and ensuring proper departmental coverage Supervising dental receptionists, assistants, and other support staff Overseeing daily patient flow and adjusting schedules to handle delays or emergencies Processing leave requests and maintaining time clock entries Acting as the primary liaison between providers, staff, and administration Coordinating referral workflows and dental incentive programs Supporting compliance and quality improvement initiatives, including NNOHA standards Partnering with the Dental Director on clinical operations and performance targets Ideal Qualifications:
High school diploma required; advanced education a plus Prior supervisory experience in a dental or healthcare setting Strong interpersonal and team management skills Highly organized, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment Comfortable coordinating between administrative and clinical teams Additional Info:
Full-time role based in Brooklyn Sunday availability preferred Compliance with organizational policies and procedures is required
