The Receiving Steward is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and organizing daily deliveries of food, beverage, and supplies. This role works closely with the culinary and stewarding teams to ensure proper storage, rotation, and inventory control. The Receiving Steward may assist with light prep, cleaning tasks, and dishwashing support as needed. Your main role as a Receiving Steward at the Steakhouse is to assist the line cooks, executive and sous chef with their daily tasks, along with a variety of your own duties and responsibilities, outlined below. Responsibilities of the Ideal Candidate: Report to the Sous Chef and Director of Culinary, supporting daily kitchen operations across all property F&B outlets. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes. Operate dishwashing machines and handle manual cleaning as needed. Ensure garbage and recycling are properly disposed of and areas remain organized. Assist in receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries to ensure proper stock rotation and food safety. Help maintain prep areas and assist with basic food prep as needed. Uphold all sanitation, safety, and food handling standards at all times. Support the culinary team during busy service periods and special events. Follow and adhere to all property SOPs, policies, and procedures. Complete opening and closing checklists. Available for opening shift (approximately 7am-3pm) Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement. Perform additional duties as assigned. Starting Pay: $19 per hour Experience and Education: Minimum of six months kitchen experience preferred. Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds frequently to assist guests. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to hear, understand and communicate orally and in writing to communicate with staff, vendors and guests a normal in-person and phone conversation, including understanding invoices and inventory procedures. Ability to bend and twist, push and pull, stoop, and kneel. Ascend and descend a ladder. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.
