ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures and health standards.
Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
Wears and maintains all uniforms properly, including gaming license.
Sells and makes alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks to guests in a respectful and efficient manner.
Provides quality customer service by answering questions to encourage guests to purchase bar services.
Acts to consistently maintain a properly stocked, clean, and well-organized bar at all times. Ensures that all liquor controls are closely monitored and tightly maintained.
Monitors cash flow and complies with money handling procedures as directed to prevent loss and theft. Maintains the integrity of all cash and comp transactions.
Monitors guests for intoxication. If applicable, discontinues alcohol sales and informs security and immediate supervisor/casino manager. Alerts supervisor/casino manager and security regarding guests who may be difficult or possibly violent.
Coordinates bartending activities with the rounds and breaks of Cocktail Servers.
Promotes events in gaming, slots, restaurants, and other areas as required or requested.
Develops, maintains, and enhances positive relations with all guests and employees. Sells change to guests on request.
Performs all duties in compliance with the Colorado Limited Gaming Act and internal policies and procedures.
Alerts supervisor of any concerns regarding the quality, selection, and variety of all beverages and equipment.
Complies with established security policies and procedures.
Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities and a general awareness of bar operations at all times. Exercises caution and evaluates circumstances for appropriate security or safety response. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns. Verifies customers are 21+ years of age.
Performs additional tasks, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Demonstrated bartending experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment. Demonstrated experience performing within specific deadlines or under pressure. Demonstrated experience problem solving, organizing, and prioritizing work.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Graduation from high school or the equivalent in education or experience. One (1) or more years of recent and related bartending experience, preferably within a hospitality, restaurant, or gaming environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Colorado Limited Gaming Support License is required.
Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. Successful completion of alcohol awareness training.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Essential duties involve performing physical exertion such as frequent brisk walking, climbing stairs, stooping, bending, stretching, reaching, pushing, kneeling, squatting, crouching, and standing for an entire work shift with standard breaks. Essential duties involve working in a small, confined area used to prepare beverages, with floors that may become slippery in the process of preparing beverages. Essential duties require lifting trays, which contain drinks, and lifting up to 50 pounds to stack, store, or move kitchen, restaurant, or general office supplies and equipment. Essential duties involve a flexible workweek with additional hours routinely required.
