Survey Crew Instrument Man
to support our field operations and help deliver precise, high-quality data for a variety of residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. About the Role:
As an Instrument Man, you will work closely with the Survey Crew Chief to operate and maintain surveying instruments such as total stations, GPS, data collectors, and levels. Youll be responsible for assisting in collecting accurate field data, setting stakes, and supporting boundary, topographic, construction, and ALTA/NSPS surveys. Key Responsibilities:
Operate survey instruments and equipment under the direction of the Crew Chief Collect field data with precision and attention to detail Assist in setting up control points and staking boundaries and utilities Maintain and care for all field equipment and tools Follow safety procedures and field protocols Support a variety of project types including civil site development, roadway improvements, and utility mapping
Requirements:
13 years of experience in land surveying preferred Familiarity with Trimble, Leica, or Topcon equipment a plus Ability to read and interpret construction plans and field notes Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work outdoors in various conditions Valid drivers license and ability to travel to job sites
