Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

A Production Soft Chew Line Lead has mastered most basic production duties and completed additional training in

preparation to perform as a lead technician on certain systems. The nature of all production positions involves

repetitive motions for extended periods of time.

KEY DUTIES OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ability to mix/blend WIP materials Ability to set up a packaging line Ability to use software to retrieve documents Ability to weigh and document raw material quantities Ability to run pellet mills without assistance Label, fill and package products Basic system cleaning Ability to perform as a lead technician and manage a system Manage at least four mixing systems Scan material to move to/from system locations in inventory system Perform system preventative maintenance and scale calibration Complete minor equipment repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting Report end of shift production activity Conduct batch record review and reconciliation Maintain the efficient flow of product through the production process Set-up and maintain line equipment Monitor the process and inform supervisors of any issues Ensure all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety and quality standards are met Functions as a team member within the department and organization Other duties as assigned The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by

Requirements

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Two to four years of production experience or similar preferred Three to five years of work experience preferred Knowledge of safe work practices EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING:

Certified on at least three mixing systems and four packaging systems High School diploma or GED preferred ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:

Math skills. Read/write English. Operate various tools. Ability to work in a team environment & be cross trained in packaging, mixing & blending various powders Less than four infractions in six months Work Hired shift: 2nd Shift 3:30pm-2am M-Thurs.

(2 weeks of training on 1st shift M-Thurs 5:30am-4pm) Arrive to work on time and work the entire shift as scheduled PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Prolonged standing and repetitive motions, balancing, bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. May be required to independently and frequently lift, push, pull up to 75 lbs. Must have reliable transportation to work at one or both locations during assigned shift. Hand dexterity and strength. Overtime is required, including weekends. May be required to work a flexible schedule. Work in all seasons within a dusty environment. No allergies to raw materials i.e....wheat, alfalfa, soy or peanut butter.
