We seek talented professionals to join our team as a hands-on engineer working within a seasoned agile team to develop the next-generation Inventory Planning & Replenishment systems for GPC. This role involves building and maintaining one of the world’s largest automotive and industrial parts operations, with a focus on modern technology stacks, agile delivery, and customer experience improvement. Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with product team members to create secure, reliable, scalable software solutions. Design and develop cloud-native microservices, ensuring adherence to team agreements. Participate in all development lifecycle phases, including testing and support. Work with architects and engineering teams on integrated enterprise solutions. Create dashboards, logging, alerting, and proactive issue resolution mechanisms. Serve as a subject matter expert in assigned domains, understanding end-to-end system processes. Prioritize automation and test-first development practices. Implement observability, monitoring, and resilience best practices. Guide and mentor other engineers on the team. Location
Choose between Duluth or Atlanta offices. Flexible hybrid remote work policy available. Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience. 3+ years of software engineering experience preferred. Proficiency in data structures, object-oriented and functional programming, microservices, and cloud technologies. Experience with Java, JEE, Spring Boot, SQL, and cloud platforms. Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies. Ability to write production-ready, maintainable code daily. Skills & Competencies
