Your Career Palo Alto Networks manages a large infrastructure and is a major GCP customer. As a Principal SRE, you will build and maintain highly reliable, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure within a FedRAMP environment, driving operational excellence and adopting SRE best practices.
Our Infrastructure Platform includes Terraform, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD, GitOps, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Docker, GCP, Backstage, MySQL, PagerDuty, FireHydrant, Python, Bash, Java, NodeJS, and Go.
Your Impact
Design, build, and operate reliable, secure cloud infrastructure across multi-cloud environments
Ensure applications are production-ready, scalable, and resilient, collaborating with various teams
Develop expertise in new technologies and integrate them into our infrastructure, embracing AI tools
Develop automation tools, championing Infrastructure as Code and Monitoring as Code principles
Automate deployments and orchestrate monitoring and alerting solutions
Participate in on-call rotations to support critical systems
Lead root cause analysis and drive improvements
Contribute to SRE and DevOps initiatives aligned with business goals
Qualifications Your Experience
Must be a US citizen
7+ years in Infrastructure, SRE, or DevOps roles
BSc or MSc in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
4+ years with AWS and GCP, including architecture, services, networking, and PKI
Expertise in troubleshooting cloud infrastructure issues
Proficiency with Python and shell scripting; Golang a plus
Experience with Terraform, Helm, and AI tools for development
Strong Kubernetes and Linux skills
Experience with CI/CD, GitOps, GitLab, Jenkins
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Self-managed, driven, with ownership and urgency
Ability to adapt to evolving technologies and threats
Ability to understand customer needs and provide RCA
Aligning technical decisions with business goals

Compensation Disclosure Salary ranges from $147,000 to $237,500 annually, depending on qualifications, experience, and location. Compensation may include stock options and bonuses. For details, see our benefits documentation.
