Real Estate Finance Associate Attorney (3–5 Years) Chicago, IL | Hybrid Schedule
Direct Counsel is working with a
well-established national firm
to identify a
real estate associate
with 3–5 years of experience to join its
Chicago-based real estate finance team . This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to work on complex real estate financing and transactional matters in a highly supportive and client-focused environment. About the Role
The successful candidate will work on a wide range of real estate transactions, including: Representing
lenders and investors
in permanent, construction, and mezzanine loan deals
Closing acquisitions and dispositions of commercial real estate assets
Negotiating commercial leases, including office, retail, industrial, warehouse, and healthcare properties
The firm offers early access to clients, opportunities to lead deal components, and a collaborative platform for growth. Ideal Candidate Profile
3–5 years of experience in
real estate finance , especially on the lender/investor side
Strong experience with
acquisition/disposition
closings
and
commercial lease negotiations
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment
J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials
Admitted to the Illinois Bar (or in the process of obtaining admission)

Base Salary:
$240,000 – $280,000 depending on experience
