Long Haul Driver II

SUMMARY:
The Long-Haul Driver is responsible for operation of combination vehicle (truck and trailer) for the transportation, safe handling, and delivery of oilfield & industrial chemicals, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations. Drivers are dispatched out of a DK Energy Services location and will be making deliveries to other DK Energy Services locations throughout the US. This role has attained or is gaining full proficiency in the duties and responsibilities and works under the moderate supervision of either a Driver Manager or Site Manager. Clean driving record and CDL Class A with Hazmat and tanker endorsements required.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: On-time daily trips to specified locations Ensure all paperwork for the load is complete and correct. Operate various pumps with hoses, risers and valves Interact with management and DK Energy Services location personnel Interact with management and DK Energy Services location personnel Complete inspection reports (pre-job hazard assessment forms, per-trip inspection logs & en-route logbooks) Complete inspection reports (pre-job hazard assessment forms, per-trip inspection logs & en-route logbooks) Commitment to safety, environmental and industrial hygiene practices Outstanding safety performance and consistent environmental compliance Occasional weekend work and overtime may be required Support and assist in implementing and maintaining certified management systems ascribed to DK such as ISO 9001. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of risks and opportunities associated with their work. Maintain an understanding of the Quality policy and how they personally contribute to meeting DK objectives and goals Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of the RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives and goals in addition to how they can contribute to them. Other projects as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience/Skills: High School Diploma or equivalent Experience/Skills: 1-3 years of related work experience CDL Class A with Hazmat endorsement and tanker endorsement Forklift certified Pipeline certification Must have clean driving record Knowledge of DOT regulations Knowledge of TDG and WHMIS Basic mechanical skills Physically capable of loading and unloading goods up to 50 lbs Ability to load, unload and operate a forklift & pumping equipment Experience with Acid and Hazardous Material handling
Work Conditions
:
This position requires working in a standard driving environment: traffic, long periods of sitting, getting in and out of high-profile truck. Employees will need to be able to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs with no problem, and work in extreme weather conditions. Employees will need to communicate effectively with peers and managers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
