Payroll Clerk Opportunity In Greensboro, North Carolina
We are looking for a detail-oriented payroll clerk to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is essential for ensuring the accurate processing of payroll and financial transactions while maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of payroll systems, accounting fundamentals, and excellent organizational skills. Responsibilities include: Processing weekly and biweekly payrolls using a third-party vendor, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Reconciling timesheet reports with payroll registers to identify and resolve discrepancies. Managing employee deductions, garnishments, and vendor payments within the payroll system. Preparing and recording financial transactions, including bank deposits, general ledger postings, and cash transfers. Conducting month-end reconciliations for payroll and bank accounts, maintaining accurate records. Creating, maintaining, and updating Excel spreadsheets to support reconciliations and reporting. Generating and submitting payroll-related reports for accounting and human resources departments. Ensuring compliance with payroll regulations and best practices while maintaining confidentiality. Assisting with audits and providing support for additional tasks within the accounting department. Overseeing time and labor responsibilities, including employee updates and benefit reconciliations. Requirements include: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with strong analytical skills. Experience working with payroll software such as Kronos Workforce Ready or similar platforms. Familiarity with financial and banking software for posting and reconciling transactions. Solid understanding of payroll processes and best practices, including relevant laws and regulations. Ability to create reports using reporting software and analyze financial data. Strong interpersonal skills and a team-oriented mindset. Previous experience in full-cycle payroll processing, including managing garnishments. Ability to maintain confidentiality and attention to detail in all payroll-related tasks.
