Senior Data Analyst

CGI has an immediate need for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team. This role is pivotal in bridging business needs with technical solutions by gathering and analyzing user requirements, translating them into actionable database and ETL specifications, and ensuring data integrity through rigorous testing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, strong SQL skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This position involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, and business stakeholders, to ensure seamless data integration and issue resolution. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Strong command of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and its application in data projects. Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications, especially for ETL and database development. Proficiency in SQL and other database querying tools. Experience creating source-to-target mappings and detailed documentation of business processes. Skilled in test planning and execution, with familiarity in tools like HP Quality Center or Mercury Quality Center. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities without compromising quality or timelines. Professional certifications in data analysis, database management, or software development are a plus. 8+ years of experience in software development or data analysis roles, with a strong track record of handling complex, large-scale projects. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Compensation range for this role in the U.S. is $88,200.00 - $121,200.00.
