The IT Portfolio Manager is responsible for the centralized management of one or more portfolios of IT projects and programs. The role involves aligning IT initiatives with business strategies, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline constraints. This role requires a strategic mindset, a keen understanding of project management principles, and a collaborative approach to work closely with various stakeholders across the organization. The IT Portfolio Manager serves as a key liaison between the IT department and other business units, facilitating communication and ensuring that IT investments deliver maximum value. How You Will Contribute: Manages day-to-day IT project portfolioTracks and reports on supply and demand managementOversees specific IT projects and ensures they align with business objectives, timeline, and budgetTracks and reports on technology resource availability and makes recommendations on resource and project alignmentsTracks performance and mitigates risks for individual projectsCommunicates with stakeholders about project portfolio and project statusesDevelops and manages a plan for continuous improvement and operational efficiencySupports the annual budget process and tracks and reports on budgets and allocationsDevelops reports and presentations for all functions and for senior leadershipOversees the entire portfolio of IT projects and programsAligns IT initiatives with business strategies and objectivesCoordinates and manages resource allocation for IT projectsEnsures projects are completed within scope, budget, and timeline constraintsFacilitates communication between IT and other business unitsMonitors and reports on the performance and progress of IT projectsIdentifies and mitigates risks associated with IT initiativesDevelops and implements portfolio management processes and best practicesConducts regular portfolio reviews and status meetings with stakeholdersManages and prioritizes the project pipeline based on strategic importanceEnsures compliance with regulatory and organizational standardsProvides leadership and guidance to project managers and teamsEvaluates the effectiveness of project delivery and outcomesSupports the continuous improvement of portfolio management practicesPerforms other duties as assignedLicenses and Certifications: Six Sigma Black belt certificationProfessional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or PfMP.Skills & Experience to Be Successful: MBA,Advanced degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
