IT Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to oversee the deployment of technology infrastructure as part of the construction of a new campus. This role requires a hands-on professional with a background in managing end-to-end technology infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on routers, end user computing, wireless, and server installations. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background rather than specialized technical experience and will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities
Lead & manage the planning, installation, & roll-out of technology infrastructure in new campus buildings Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, budget, & timelines Monitor the progress of technology infrastructure deployments & ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, & budget Coordinate with cross-functional teams & external vendors to ensure all installations & configurations are executed correctly Provide hands-on support with equipment installations & setup, ensuring high-quality delivery of infrastructure components Regularly communicate project status, risks, & issue resolutions to stakeholders Address project challenges proactively, developing, & implementing solutions to ensure project objectives are met Manage any changes in project scope, identify potential crises, & devise contingency plans Foster a collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous improvement & innovation Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on technology infrastructure deployments Proven track record of managing end-to-end projects, from initiation through to execution & close-out Strong planning, organizational, & leadership skills Excellent communication & interpersonal abilities, capable of managing diverse teams & stakeholders Hands-on experience with hardware installations & configuration Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred) Proven experience as an IT Project Manager, successfully delivering complex projects on time & within budget Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, & techniques Excellent leadership & team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others Exceptional problem-solving & decision-making abilities Must be eligible to work on W2 EEO Employer Apex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
