Tailoring Operations Manager

As the Tailoring Operations Manager you are responsible for creating and sustaining tailoring operational policies, procedures, and processes. Your focus will be working with both the in-store tailoring and the National Tailoring Services (NTS) operations, through data and operational analysis. You will demonstrate good judgement in recommending solutions and proactive measures that result in increased efficiency and profitability. This individual will work closely with the Labor Management & Reporting and Finance Planning & Analytics teams to analyze the tailoring business forecast and results. This position requires strong organizational and excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on attention to detail. Key to success is the ability to work collaboratively with the store organization, cross-functional corporate business partners and external vendors, in a fast-paced environment. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Business Operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Analyzes reports and provides feedback on opportunities for operational improvements to the overall tailoring processes, reporting, store alteration collections and store compliance on National Tailoring Service allocation. Creates financial models in Excel to model the business scenarios to manage risk and define return on investment (ROI). Reviews current operating procedures and optimization of labor force, balancing the needs of in-store tailoring and NTS facilities. Tracks time stamps for tailoring process to ensure the appropriate amount of labor allocated to the tailoring business. Develops and executes national and regional operating procedures that provide maximum value to the business. Supports technology needs and monitors adoption for tailoring applications (i.e., Tailoring App). Works with cross-functional business partners to ensure cost efficient methods are in place and adhered to for store tailoring supplies, tailoring shop set up and management. Provides training content to the Store Training team to develop documentation for efficient tailoring shop processes. Focuses on ROI and customer service, with a balance between in-store and NTS completion by optimizing alterations by type. Partners and communicates with National Tailoring Services regularly on quality concerns within the stores and NTS partnership. Provides feedback to merchandise teams on product flaws and/or tailoring concerns. Reviews, tracks, and monitors alteration collections consistently and works with field Multi-Unit Managers on improvement methods for multiple brands, while understanding the nuances across the brands. Monitors high profile competition alteration pricing, in order to provide price change recommendations to Tailored Brands. Drives profit to the tailoring business through development and maintenance of outside alteration partnerships. Partners with Business Outreach Team to provide tailoring processes and operational support for business outreach events and group sales. Proven Skills, Abilities and Experience Qualifications: Retail Management or Business Management Experience of 6 plus years or equivalent. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience required. Strong command of Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Power Point --savvy enough to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly. Analytical skills to identify potential opportunities to improve the tailoring business. Experience in database management tools such as Hyperion Essbase/SmartView, MicroStrategy, Tableau or similar products a plus. Understands store operations and has the skills to create processes to resolve a variety of problems in creative ways. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to flex to various audiences at all levels. Exceptional customer service skills with the desire to satisfy our internal and external customers. Ability to think strategically to develop plans to execute initiatives and have a solutions mindset. Proven time management and follow up skills. Self-motivated, results oriented. Skilled at prioritizing and working under time constraints, managing multiple tasks, and working independently while remaining flexible to changing priorities and assignments. Knowledge of Tailored Brands in-store and back-office systems is a plus (Tailoring App, JAVA POS, Oracle, Putty, etc.). Location and Additional Criteria: Position is based in Atlanta, GA (office, non-remote). National travel required across North America. Must be vaccinated for COVID-19.
