Cybersecurity Regulatory Research Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Regulatory Research Analyst to support our efforts in navigating and aligning with evolving cybersecurity regulations across federal, state, and international jurisdictions. This role is ideal for someone with a strong research mindset, a foundational understanding of regulatory frameworks, and a desire to contribute to a growing cybersecurity governance program. This is a research-heavy, junior to mid-level role with opportunities to contribute to strategic initiatives, including the development of future frameworks and integration into our GRC systems. Key Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research on cybersecurity-related regulations at the federal, state, and international levels. Track and document regulatory requirements across sectors such as electricity, natural gas, and other critical infrastructure. Summarize findings in clear, actionable formats (e.g., SharePoint, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations). Cross-walk and map regulatory requirements to current internal cybersecurity programs and controls. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align findings with ongoing compliance and risk initiatives. Assist in developing templates and documentation standards for regulatory tracking and reporting. Participate in discussions with leadership to present findings and support decision-making. Support the future integration of regulatory data into the organization's GRC platform. Qualifications
Required: 13 years of experience in a research, compliance, or cybersecurity-related role. Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g., NERC CIP, NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.). Strong organizational and documentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint). Ability to work independently and manage multiple research threads simultaneously. Preferred: Experience working in or with the energy/utilities sector. Exposure to GRC tools or platforms. Comfort with presenting findings to stakeholders or executives (or willingness to grow into this). What You'll Gain
