Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (Aprn)
Provides direct patient care in collaboration with specific physicians to a selected group of patients. The ARNP is an advanced practice nurse, clinically expert in patient care, who can provide a high standard of care to all patients, following an established protocol with a physician(s). This includes but is not limited to medical diagnosis, treatment, prescription, teaching and mentoring new members of the health care team. The ARNP will perform a patient assessment to include medical history and physical exam and develop an appropriate plan of care in the direct management of patients with acute and chronic illnesses. The ARNP works directly with staff, administration, patients and families to ensure quality care across the continuum. The ARNP integrates evidence-based practice and technological advances into scope of practice. Additionally, the ARNP participates in the collection of research data, quality improvement, discharge planning and coordination of patient care within the area of practice. Estimated pay range for this position is $72.00 / hour depending on shift as applicable. Qualifications
Qualified APRNs will require: Required education is a Master Science Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) preferred. Licenses & Certifications: Basic Life Support Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Additional Qualifications: 5 years acute care nursing experience required. Compliant with state of Florida requirements for CEUs and licensure. DEA License required as per specialty/function. Advanced Cardiac Life Support required as per specialty/function. Nurse Practitioner National Certification required. Obtain medical staff credentialing and privileges as needed for practice location. If APRN requires hospital inpatient medical staff privileges and does not have an acute care certification, refer to BHSF Policy 701 titled Educational and training requirements to be credentialed to work in an acute care setting for Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Oncology RN or ARNP experience preferred. Qualified PAs will require: Masters Degree required Valid Florida PA License NCCPA Certification DEA License BLS Certification Oncology experience preferred Must be compliant with state of Florida requirements for CMEs and licensure.
