Cpi Project Leader
Caterpillar Inc. seeks CPI Project Leader at its facility located at 200 NE Adams St, Peoria, IL 61629. Execute Motor Grader CPI project closure autonomously with high velocity and quality while collaborating with a worldwide team. Direct and develop complex product design failure analysis, concepts, engineering drawings, and detailed designs that meet schedule, cost, and quality goals utilizing Lean/6 Sigma tools and methods. Improve processes to proactively enhance machine reliability, durability, and performance. Develop Motor Grader quality processes, tools, integration, and built-in quality. Collaborate with design engineers, suppliers, and manufacturing planners. Conduct design analysis and tests. Verify successful implementation of designs into the factory and field. REQS: This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related field and seven (7) years of experience in product development and engineering or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Pro-E/Creo modelling tool and print reading proficiency for parts and assembly levels; (2) Visview and Vismock-up tools for product assembly levels; (3) New product introduction (NPI), continuous product improvement (CPI) and root cause analysis processes; (4) Lean product and process development (such as: Obeya, KanBan, resource levelling, value stream mapping); (5) APQP execution tools such as: Requirements, FMEA's; (6) Weibull curve and reliability predictions; (7) Project management process and tools; (8) Machine system integration or validation; and (9) Six Sigma product quality processes/tools. Telecommuting: 2 days/week. Summary Pay Range: $133,266.00 - $189,000.00 Compensation and benefits may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market, location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
