Part-Time Student Project Lead

Campus Recreation Marketing and Communications oversees patron-facing promotions and communication projects. The Part-Time Student Project Coordinator plays a vital role in organizing and managing Campus Recreation's student creative team projects. This position reports to the Assistant Director of Campus Recreation and is responsible for driving marketing and communication initiatives through detailed project tracking and management. A minimum of one semester of experience on the Campus Recreation student creative team is required. Key Responsibilities Project Coordination and Oversight

Lead coordination for all projects, including both student and professional teams. Manage project timelines, including setting deadlines, start dates, and file requirements for external production. Distribute internal production materials and coordinate the photography shot list, scheduling, and all other details needed for photo shoots. Oversee the scheduling and organization of social media content, supporting file management and timeline adherence.

Team and Workspace Coordination

Collaborate with the Senior Student Manager (SSM) to schedule team members, manage workspace logistics, and verify hours. Conduct workshops for student staff on effective use of the project management system. Act as the point person for the project management system, creating and managing project boards with programmed automations to streamline processes and enhance cross-board coordination.

Strategic Planning and Workflow Optimization

Meet regularly with the Assistant Director to discuss project workflows, provide updates, and suggest improvements. Develop comprehensive analytics and tracking across all team roles to monitor project progress and team performance.

Marketing and Campaign Management

Track marketing programs, deliverables, and objectives, coordinating these within the project management system. Order, print, and distribute marketing collateral as needed. Evaluate and monitor campaign performance using key metrics, providing reports to ensure alignment with department goals. Conduct market research to identify trends and support creative content development for Campus Recreation's social media channels.

Collaboration and Communication

Maintain regular and open communication with the supervisory team. Actively engage in collaborative work and development, promoting Campus Recreation programs and services to a diverse audience.

Preferred Experience and Skills

Ideal candidates will have experience in team management, project planning, or communications. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to positively interact with patrons and employees are essential, along with attention to detail and above-average time management capabilities. This role requires work on the University Park Campus, with flexibility to accommodate a variable schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and University breaks.
