FTE: 0.001 (Optional Part Time) Shift: Shift 4 Varied shifts to help backfill PTO, LOA and vacancy. OPT requirements include working a minimum of 3 shifts/month and participating in the departments weekday, weekend, and holiday call rotation. Job Summary: Position requires knowledge of imaging techniques for all areas of ultrasound: OB/GYN, Abdominal, Small Parts, Breast (site specific) Vascular, OR and Procedure in accordance with ACR guidelines and department specific policies. Assists with providing 24/7 coverage of the Ultrasound Service with rotating Saturdays, holidays and call coverage. Experience Description: One year of current clinical experience is preferred. Education Description: Graduate or a student in a program accredited by an agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), United States Department of Education (USDOE) or Canadian Medical Association (CMA), that specifically conducts programmatic accreditation for diagnostic medical sonography/diagnostic cardiac sonography/vascular technology. Associate or Bachelors degree in Ultrasound/Sonography is preferred. Substantial training and current clinical experience with ARDMS registry will be accepted. Special Skills Description: Candidate must be proficient with ultrasound equipment and have basic knowledge of patient care equipment. Familiarity with McKesson PACS, Epic EMR is preferred. Licensure Description: Newly hired, experienced sonographers must be registry eligible through the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers). Sonographers will be required to be registered in Abdomen (AB), OB/GYN (OB) and Vascular (VT). Breast registration required at sites that perform Breast Ultrasound.
